Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Australia Releases Parentwise Podcast Series

ParentWise Podcast SeriesThe Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Australia recently released the ParentWise Podcast series, including 25 podcasts designed to help families understand some of the complex issues of parenting a child with cerebral palsy.

The ParentWise Podcast series is written and presented by people who have had many years working with children with a disability. The audiocasts cover diverse topics such as building networks of support, managing your child's behavior, building the child’s resilience, assistive technology options, respite, mealtime issues, powered mobility, inclusion, a child's growing awareness of their disability, siblings, building networks of support and looking after your relationship. Funded by a grant from the New South Wales (Australia) government, the podcasts are being distributed to families on CD and on preloaded iPods.

The MP3 files and transcripts can be downloaded from the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Australia's Web site at www.cpfoundation.com.au/news_podcasts.html. They're also available free of charge on iTunes, Podcast Alley and Odeo. Eight more podcasts will be released in the next few months including, 'Will My Child Walk?' and 'The Path Forward: using the six thinking hats.'
